Georg Friedrich Wagner

Can AI compose a real sonata?

Georg Friedrich Wagner is a technical experiment: an attempt to create a “real” classical sonata with AI. It is based on my own dance tracks from the late 1990s, rebuilt with classical instruments into a new form of expression.

What it is about

The starting question was purely experimental: how far can AI be pushed when it comes to genuine classical composition? Instead of starting from scratch, my own electronic dance tracks from the 90s served as the melodic foundation.

The result is a fascinating transformation: danceable beats of the past become classical chamber music — a bridge across three decades and several genres.
