The ‘O’ Music · Multilingual AI experiment
The Babel Project
One song. 229 languages. Proof of what AI can do today.
The Babel Project is the flagship of The ‘O’ Music: a single song, translated and sung in 229 languages — from modern French and rare regional languages to reconstructed Sumerian. Every version was phonetically adapted so that it remains singable.
What it is about
The idea behind The Babel Project is as simple as it is ambitious: to show that language no longer has to be a barrier. AI translation, phonetic adaptation and speech synthesis produced a collection unlike any other.
The project brings several technical threads together: machine translation into exotic and historical languages, audio transcription of ancient languages and the musical arrangement — all documented on its own project website.
